Album Cover Inspiration

Art is how we decorate space, music is how we decorate time.
— Jean Michell Basquiat

If you had told me five years ago that I would lose my passion for discovering new music, I would have told you that you were crazy. Back then, I was constantly diving into fresh sounds, eagerly collecting albums to share with others, and venturing deeper into new artists on a daily basis. However, lately, I've found myself less fixated on actively seeking out new music and more open to letting the music find me. Some of the albums in my rotation have become steady companions over the years, while others I've only touched on a few of their songs and still discovering their full discography.

My love for music has always been profound; it's the bridge between visual art and melodic sounds that truly captivates me. I'm endlessly inspired not just by the music itself, but also by the evolving trends and styles of album covers. Each year brings a new aesthetic, a fresh pulse to the visual aspect of the music.

It's intriguing how music has this unique ability to recall memories of when we first encountered a particular song or when it deeply resonated with us, becoming a source of solace or motivation. Each of these albums holds fond memories and meaningful moments in my life. I encourage you to venture and give these artists a listen. Links are attached to the photos.

Below, I took some of the main colors, from these albums to create this color palette. These colors definitely have harmony together. Iā€™d love to see what I create with this future palette.
