Winter Sun Cocktail

Geometric Glasses.jpg

My main goal for this product was to create an interesting drink, as well as, focusing on shadow to create a relaxed mood. Creating shadow and mood has been a priority for a lot of my recent images. I am excited to see how my work will develop from it.

This bright yellow drink in these geometric shaped glasses reminds me of lanterns and I love that they seem to be the source of light. I backlit this scene to create the shadows in the front. I like the little details in this image. The water drops on the leaf, the subtle texture in the surface, and the happy bubbles in the drink really add to the strength of this image.

Fun fact about this photo, I used the same rosemary in each drink because it looked the best out of the sprigs that I had!

Things that I learned:

Next time, I will try to position the limes in a different spot to give it a more “lived in” feeling. For what it’s worth, I like the overall end result of this image. I look forward to making more alcoholic drinks to add to my portfolio!
