More than a thousand words.

I have always been a writer. Ever since the age of twelve, I decided that I would write my thoughts on paper. Back then, I wrote to my dear diary about things I learned and how I wanted to be when I grew up. In 2009, I started blogging after a high school trip I took to the Bahamas. I wanted to put more words to the photos than just a standard caption on social media. I wanted people to see and feel the way I felt when I looked at those photos. Photography gave me a way to speak without saying something. But I soon discovered that the words that I used could bring much more meaning. So I wanted to inspire people by what I wrote through my blog along side my photography. This blog for me has been a public display of my thoughts while I still write privately in my journal. It is a small reflection of my life and how I choose to see the world. It is a way to show my imperfections and be okay with it. It is a way for me to somehow enlighten someone's way of thinking and share about what gets me excited. I appreciate those who read these words. I truly am thankful for that.
