It seems like just a few months ago when I got accepted into college and was so excited for what the next four years would bring. Now I am in my Senior year and ready to take on the next half of the school year.
Many times along the way, I have felt like I wouldn't make it. I am still nervous to go out into the world and pursue my dream of becoming a photographer. As much as I have always wanted this and as much as I have a passion for it, it was not until about a month ago when I began to believe that it would actually happen. That I truly had the potential to have a career as a professional photographer. I know that it requires a great amount of determination, confidence and work to get to where I want to be, but I believe I am taking the right steps.
Over Christmas break, I will begin my search for potential jobs and internships. And will also be connecting with models in my area for any photo shoots that I can do. The great thing about living in Milwaukee is that it is so close to Chicago and I will be able to keep up with my architectural photography. I will also be brainstorming on what I want to do for my Senior Exhibit in April. I plan to do some traveling to Atlanta and Michigan and am excited for the opportunities and new experiences that I will have while taking time away from school.
I am half-way through and there is no stopping it. I am determined to finish my college career strong and ready for the future.
