Each year on my birthday, I read what I wrote on my birthday in my diary, all the other years before. I am always, for some reason, shocked that I am becoming a year older. I am also very reminiscent of the past and become very emotional when I am turning a year older. As I look on my year being eighteen, I realize that it was a year for a lot of firsts. First time that I experienced graduation. First time I worked at a real job. First time that I went to college and began living on my own. First time I wore fake nails. First time I plucked my eyebrows. Ha, yes and many, many more firsts which have shaped me in some small and others large ways.
All in all, I have never grown more than I have in this past year. Looking back on my past years, I see a different person than what I am now. I am learning more about myself which makes me thankful for who I am because I used to think I was abnormal.
I hope you enjoyed my ramblings. I love to reflect on life and think deeply on each and every situation in life. I would like to end this post on a good note. What better way to end than with a Bible verse!
"But then, I recall all you have done, O Lord; I remember Your wonderful deeds of long ago. They are constantly in my thoughts, I cannot stop thinking about you mighty works." -Psalm 77:11-12
